Sarah Mather is an Occupational Therapist who has specialised and worked in neurological rehabilitation since 1993. Her experience has been based in a wide variety of acute, rehabilitation and community neurology settings. She has worked in services in New Zealand, Australia and in the United Kingdom as a service head of a large Neurosciences Unit at Kings College Hospital, London before returning to New Zealand.
Sarah has a Masters degree in Clinical Neuroscience and is a Clinical specialist and educator in Neuro-rehabilitation, Neuro-medicine and Neurosciences.
Sarah founded Therapeutic Solutions Training in 2007 in order to provide coordinated training opportunities for New Zealand rehabilitation and care professionals working with people with neurological impairments.
Additional to the field of Neurology Sarah also has special interests within vision research and in working with children and adults with challenging behavioural profiles and sensory processing disorders as a result of a range of diagnoses including intellectual disabilities, learning difference, ASD and giftedness.
When not providing training courses Sarah continues with a range of roles in private practice including consultancy for rehabilitation providers and NGOs and holding board of trustee roles for health, disability, addiction and social service providers.
